You would do well to learn the meaning of the term "pray" as it appears in the OT (the basic meaning).

It is defined (in Strong's) as "to judge." Similarly, Samuel defines prayer it as "to teach the good and right way".

To pray for someone means to intercede, or to help him negotiate steps of progress from where he is towards where he wants to be.

To pray "in a direction" (such as towards the temple), means to "judge" with the same in "future" vision.

We do all these things here. We choose formulate (judge) the best things for the people, in achievable measure (steps), towards a future of good government and justice. And we support each other in so doing.

But we do not pray to be seen (or made notable). And we do not offer vein lipservice without action. We believe in action and in teaching.
