Wouldn't know that, but someone seriously mentioning "Illuminati" always makes me chuckle.
Would have to go and do the digging unless you post some sauce, but could make sense that "Illuminati" is a term just as artificially introduced into modern times as for example "conspiracy theory".
Chances are, the correlation goes the other way. That is, large earthquakes can have some effect that couples into the ionosphere causing these anomalies.
But EQs are hardly caused by these ionospheric anomalies.
There's a growing number of large (>7) EQs with these observations made.

So-called "ionospheric pumping" is done for different purposes.
1 bar of atm pressure (+/- some change) is not enough to cause EQs at depth.
