Considering the wording, and I'm going from memory here so it might be off, it said something about him being loved by a family or something of the sort. I suspect that they might even be sharing the, "benefits," of their dogs with others in their little twisted groups.
The middle east has always been a center for slave trade, and considering how many of the muslims call us, "dogs," it makes me consider the possibility that elements within our own country were/are working in cahoots with slave traders in both a buy and a sell setup.
