Your post does not address Q's suggestion that Angela is related to Hitler and Q's mention of German naming conventions for first and middle names at the time.

I just figured it out. Angela Merkel is Adolph Hitler's great-niece. She was named after her maternal grandmother, Angela Hitler, following German newborn naming conventions. Angela Hitler was Adolph Hitler's half-sister. Either Angela Merkel was given to the Kasners to raise (protection since Nazi) or those were her actual parents and they changed their name to Kasner.

Angela Merkel looks like Adolph Hitler's mother because Angela Merkel is the great-grandchild of Klara Hitler (Hitler's mother).

Angela Merkel was given her first name after her maternal grandmother, Angela Hitler, who was Adolph Hitler's half-sister.

Angela Merkel's great-uncle was Adolph Hitler.

Angel's "parents" were named Kasner. Either she was adopted by them or they are her actual parents and they changed their name to hide their Nazi identity after WW2.
