Thing is.. Hitler was brought in to the Nazi party as a pawn by Eckert but he then cast them out, Eckert and all, after seeing what they truly were.
If that is indeed the case than I think we should look into Eckert because that is where the control would have began.
I mean seriously if we are going down this history road than we need to consider events even further back. French revolution, Rome falling, etc. I don't think it is beyond the scope to consider many events of our entire history being linked across centuries and lifetimes.
