From a previous bread. I read this guy's whole thread and was enjoying it, but then at the very end he reveals that he's a flat-earther. Disappointing. Still an interesting read, though. I have to admit that I can't reconcile how people have successfully taken pictures of landmarks that are over 100 miles away–the simple geometry involved would indicate that those objects should not be visible due to the curvature of the Earth. I don't have an explanation for that.

Look, if you can actually explain what's going on there, I'd love to hear it. I don't believe in the possibility that the Earth is flat. But there's definitely some reason that my expectations here don't line up with reality, and I want to know what it is.
