Rockefeller Center South

Rockefeller had longtime ties to the local Atlanta political and economic Establishment. In fact, much of Rockefeller’s personal investment portfolio is in Atlanta real estate. (According to David Horowitz, co-author of The Rockefellers, “Atlanta is Rockefeller Center South.”)

And Rockefeller himself had once even invited Carter to dine with him at the Chase Manhattan Bank several years before, as early as 1971, the year Carter began serving as governor.

Carter very definitely impressed Rockefeller and Brzezinski, more so than another Southern Democrat, Florida Gov. Reuben Askew, also selected to serve on the commission and viewed, like Carter, as a possible Trilateral candidate.

In fact, according to Brzezinski,

“It was a close thing between Carter and Askew, but we were impressed that Carter had opened up trade offices for the state of Georgia in Brussels and Tokyo. That seemed to fit perfectly into the concept of the Trilateral.”

Carter, in fact, like Askew, did announce for the 1976 Democratic presidential nomination, but because of Rockefeller’s interest, Carter had the inside shot.

So much so that in a speech at the commission’s first annual meeting in Kyoto, Japan in May of 1975, Rockefeller’s man Brzezinski promoted the then-still obscure Carter to his fellow Trilateralists as an ideal presidential candidate.

Cut and Dried

From that point on, it was all cut and dried. According to Goldwater:

“Rockefeller and Brzezinski found Carter to be their ideal candidate. They helped him win the Democratic nomination and the presidency.

“To accomplish this purpose they mobilized the money-power of the Wall Street bankers, the intellectual influence of the academic community — which is subservient to the wealth of the great tax-free foundations — and the media controllers represented in the membership of the CFR and the Trilateralists.”

The aforementioned Council on Foreign Relations — is another Rockefeller-financed foreign policy pressure group similar to the Trilateralists and the Bilderberg group, although the CFR is composed solely of American citizens.

In his book The Carter Presidency and Beyond, published in 1980 by the Ramparts Press, Prof. Laurence H. Shoup devotes an entire chapter to demonstrating how the Trilateral-linked and Trilateral-controlled Establishment media promoted the presidential candidacy in 1976 of the then-obscure Georgia Gov. Jimmy Carter.

Carter, of course, campaigned as a “populist” — as a “man of the people” — as an “outsider” with no ties to the Establishment. The fact is, however, Carter, who said he’d never lie, was an elitist, an insider, the Trilateral Commission’s “man on the white horse.”

UK Israel Lobby Adds Muscle as US Lobby Weakens

For decades it was all but taboo to suggest that pro-Israel lobbies in the United States such as AIPAC used their money and influence to keep lawmakers firmly in check on Israel-related issues — even if one had to be blind not to notice that that was exactly what they were up to.

When back in February U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar pointed out the obvious – that U.S. lawmakers were routinely expected to submit to the lobby’s dictates on Israel, a foreign country – her colleagues clamored to distance themselves from her, just as one might have expected were the pro-Israel lobby to wield the very power Omar claimed.

But surprisingly Omar did not – at least immediately – suffer the crushing fate of those who previously tried to raise this issue. Although she was pressured into apologizing, she was not battered into complete submission for her honesty.

She received support on social media, as well as a wavering, muted defense from Democratic grandee Nancy Pelosi, and even a relatively sympathetic hearing from a few prominent figures in the U.S. Jewish community.

The Benjamins Do Matter

Omar’s comments have confronted – and started to expose – one of the most enduring absurdities in debates about U.S. politics. Traditionally it has been treated as anti-Semitic to argue that the pro-Israel lobby actually lobbies for its chosen cause – exactly as other major lobbies do, from the financial services industries to the health and gun lobbies – and that, as with other lobbies enjoying significant financial clout, it usually gets its way.

Omar found herself in the firing line in February when she noted that what mattered in U.S. politics was “It’s all about the Benjamins” – an apparent reference to the 1997 Puff Daddy song of the same name in which Benjamins refer to $100 bills. She later clarified that AIPAC leverages funds over congressional and presidential candidates.

The claim that the pro-Israel lobby isn’t really in the persuasion business can only be sustained on the preposterous basis that Israeli and U.S. interests are so in tune that AIPAC and other organizations serve as little more than cheerleaders for the two countries’ “unbreakable bond.” Presumably on this view, the enormous sums of money raised are needed only to fund the celebrations.

Russian Warplanes Rain Hell On Idlib & Hama Following Rocket Attack On Hmeimim Airbase (Videos)

Terrorists of the “Wa Harid al-Muminin” operations room launched a salvo of Grad rockets at the Russian Hmeimim airbase in southern Lattakia in the morning of April 26.

Local sources said that Russian air defense systems intercepted many of the rockets, while the rest landed in open areas away from the base. Initial reports indicate that the attack didn’t result in any military or civilian loses.

The rocket attack provoked a fierce response from the Russian Aerospace Force. Russian warplanes took off from Hmeimim few hours after the attack and struck terrorists’ positions in the towns of Kansafra and Almaouzrah in southern Idlib, as well as in the towns of al-Sheikh Idris and Tell Huwash in northern Hama.

The Wa Harid al-Muminin operations room was formed last October by al-Qaeda-affiliated Jamat Ansar al-Islam, Horas al-Din, Jabhat Ansar al-Islam and Ansar al-Tawhid. Since its establishment, the operations room has been working to sabotage the Russian-Turkish demilitarized zone agreement on Idlib.

A day earlier, Russian President’s Special Envoy to Syria, Alexander Lavrentiev, who is currently attending a new round of the Astana Talks, warned that the Russian airstrikes on the remaining terrorists in Idlib will continue.

“The airstrikes on the governorate of Idlib are carried out solely for the purpose of eliminating terrorist groups, they are targeting extremists and terrorists who have been holed up there,” Lavrentiev said, according to RT.

Terrorist groups, such as the ones involved in the Wa Harid al-Muminin coalition or the former branch of al-Qaeda in Syria, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), are controlling 90% of Idlib. The Russian-Turkish agreement has failed to stop neutralize them, so far.

Lawyers in Russian Bot Case Demand Judge Hold Mueller in Contempt For Making Allegations in Report That Were Left Out of Indictment

Defense lawyers for Concord Management, the so-called Russian troll farm indicted by Mueller, filed a motion this week demanding the judge hold Robert Mueller and US Attorney General Bill Barr in criminal contempt for releasing the redacted special counsel report.

Lawyers for Concord Management and Consulting asked U.S. District Judge Dabney Friedrich of the District of Columbia, a Trump appointee, to order the government to show cause as to why Robert Mueller and Bill Barr shouldn’t be held in criminal contempt for violating local criminal rule 57.7 by releasing Mueller’s report, therefore interfering with their right to a fair trial.

Smirnoff vodka is now made with non-GMO corn. Apparently, they made the announcement a few months ago but didn’t get much exposure in the corporate or independent media.

“While Smirnoff No. 21 Vodka has always been gluten-free, 10-times filtered and triple-distilled, now the brand has made a substantial investment in transitioning to using non-GMO corn during distillation,” Smirnoff said in the announcement.

DOJ could build Assange case on Espionage Act, carries possible death sentence

Julian Assange could be charged under the Espionage Act for leaking classified material in addition to the hacking charge he already faces, a US Department of Justice document indicates.
