Not what I read sometime ago. From memory, he was transferred to another prison, maybe against his and/or his attorney's protests. Now, why would somebody want him moved? He was placed in the "yard" shortly after arriving, think he was in a wheelchair, he was taken by other prisoners to a secluded area in the yard and beaten to death, think they also gouged out one or more of his eyes, something gruesome like that. Yeah, it was a "Mafia" hit, sounds legit.
