As anon said, lighter woods would do you better. Cherry, Apple, alder… A simple salt/water/brown sugar brine wouldn't hurt.

Look into it.
CBD and THC are but two of hundreds of whole cannabis components.
Much commercial weed is grown with pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. these are not necessarily good.
Many commercial oils may be produced in ways that introduce more contaminants such as non-polar solvent residues, and/or propylene glycol.
Home grown organic is an entirely different story.
