Like any other sort of prepping, a FOF will succomb to a methodical approach even if your assets are small. Just as you can do a lot of prepping for $5-10 per pay period, you can do a lot of savings by setting aside 10-15% of each pay in a "never see it again" account. (If you cannot get by, no matter how hard you try) on 85-90% of your income, you need more income, not fewer bills.
