>I find it hard to believe that the crop itself is somehow doomed on Earth,

How many strains of cotton are there? How many have we lost in the last 50 years or so? How many can we afford to lose? If you dig on these questions just a little, you are not going to like the answers you find.

Compare www.rareseeds.com with what you find in your supermarket.

Ever grow a striped tomato? They offer 23 varieties of striped tomato, including some that had nearly gone extinct due to the dearth of backyard gardens. (A backyard garden is usually the most fertile soil on the planet … the more so if managed organically.)

Like any other sort of prepping, a FOF will succomb to a methodical approach even if your assets are small. Just as you can do a lot of prepping for $5-10 per pay period, you can do a lot of savings by setting aside 10-15% of each pay in a "never see it again" account. (If you cannot get by, no matter how hard you try) on 85-90% of your income, you need more income, not fewer bills.

Gotta post one more time tonight and then hit the rack … I almost forgot to tell you guise what happened today.

I totaled the family sled when I hit (honestly!) a telephone pole laying in the road. (right after cresting a hill … I got part of a second notice). The tow truck driver noticed my MAGA 2020 cap and cut me a discount and told me how to compel the insurance company to speed things up.

That's the first time I've worn that particular cap. Also, when I asked where they got the "Trump 2020, No Bullshit" banner in their window, they went well out of their way to give me directions and who to talk to by name and suggested that I use their name for a referral.

So, there's a story about wearing a Trump cap with a positive ending!
