Snowden must have another passport with a different identity that:

a) does not use the name Edward Snowden

b) does not look to much like @snowden thus requiring him to make a disguise, i.e. hair color, stuffed cheeks, odd beard, no glasses.

Then when he is stuck in Moscow nobody sees him because they literally do not know what he looks like. He needs a helper to come and bring him hair bleach and help him undo the disguise so that nobody notices he has changed.
