Buns get reposted so that the link of the post can be used as the bun link for that bread's notes in the dough, which is important for the Prev. Notables section since only the most recent few breads' notables can fit to be displayed in-full.
Usually baker grabs this bun link from the final notables post in-bread. Occasions for a repost are:
1) final/total notes bun wasn't posted in-bread for some reason (fast bread, late adds, etc….)
2) there was an error somewhere in the original final bun post. It is custom that only the baker of that bread can make or okay corrections tho.
