The Holy Fire arrives at Moscow’s Vnukovo airport from Jerusalem on Saturday, April 27, ahead of Orthodox Easter celebrations.

The Holy Fire will then be taken to the Easter night service in the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour.

While Catholic and Protestant churches marked Easter last Sunday, the Orthodox churches use the Julian calendar and therefore Easter is celebrated this coming Sunday.
