One of the companies to donate money to the cause was Ubisoft, who donated €500,000. The reason for this was the large part the building had to play in Assassin's Creed Unity, and as a result, the publisher also offered PC players the chance to experience the digital version of the cathedral by giving away the game away for free for a week. It turns out people like free gifts, because according to The Hollywood Reporter, the game was downloaded 3 million times during that period.
