The recent discussion of the Titanic, and all the plane crashes of late, have caused me to reconsider another world-impacting 'disaster.'
What is known about the passenger list on the Hindenburg?
Was recently watching an old newsreel (video related). Seems it flew without incident for over a year. Was the pride of Germany.
The more I think about it the more it feels like an act of sabotage. I've read it was the chemicals in the paint that caused the flames to spread so rapidly and may actually be the cause (after the electrical spark/ignition) rather than the hydrogen.
Regardless, it seems like that vulnerability could have been known to certain agencies.
