If you have time, read the leaked conversation between Aus PM Turnbull & Trump. Q posted it a day or two ago. It that conversation Turnbull tells Trump that the "deal" with Obama was that the US would take about 2k refugees that Aus refused to allow into the country. The Aus would take 31 ???? from the US. I'm thinking the 31 were Gitmo prisoners. Turnbull also mentioned the "executive order" that Obama created that solidified the deal.
