People won't see what they don't want to see. It's the "free will" thing that God gives humanity.

The truth of Christianity is avoided, in many cases, because there is sin people don't want to give up in order to follow Christ.

What people don't realize is that Christ does not ask us to be perfect to become Christians and to follow Him. He just asks that we repent of our sins, do our best to avoid sin, and follow Him.

Christians make mistakes and commit sin. The difference from non-Christians is that we are truly sorry for our sins and seek to not repeat those sins through the power of the Holy Spirit and by God's grace.

This is the Great Awakening.

Heavenly Father, I come before you as your child, in great need of help; I have physical health needs, emotional needs, spiritual needs and interpersonal needs. Many of my problems have been caused by my own failures, neglect and sinfulness, for which I humbly beg your forgiveness, Lord. But I also ask you to forgive the sins of my ancestors whose failures have left their effects in me in the form of unwanted tendencies, behavior patterns, and defects in body, mind and spirit. Interesting, Anon! I have done similar exercises where I think of a bad situation with someone from the past and I say, "please forgive me and let me go." I call them out by name. After that, I no longer suffer from bad memories or "cringe moments." I no longer suffer cringe worthy moments when recalling these memories at random.
