Report: Only 35 People Show Up to See Beto Give Campaign Speech In Vegas
By Lawrence Richard - April 27, 2019
Once a rising star within the Democrat Party, presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke is now reportedly struggling to pull a crowd of more than 35 people during a campaign stop in Las Vegas.
The former congressman rose to fame when he eloquently answered a question on NFL players controversially kneeling during the National Anthem. His answer went viral and O’Rourke rode the spotlight to a presidential bid, quickly raising $6 million in the process.
BizPac Review reports his time may have come and gone after only 35 people showed up to one of his campaign rallies.
“The former congressman, who lost his bid to unseat Texas Republican Ted Cruz in the midterm elections, has seen a decline in his popularity in recent weeks as the field of Democratic presidential hopefuls has swelled,” BizPac Review reports. “The shift has come despite O’Rourke’s initial explosive campaign kickoff, surpassing all of his rivals in fundraising until former Vice President Joe Biden raised $6.3 million in the first 24 hours after announcing his candidacy on Thursday.”
