Something is wrong with the narrative. If you watched the video, the helicopter looked like it was in auto-rotation ( look up the term) It didn't look to be going fast as it touched down on the water. ignore blade speed, that would be part of the auto-rotation, ) the doors were off = photo shoot how the heck do you get people in critical condition after that? I have a family member who had an auto rotation go wrong in the mountains, he and passenger walked away. the wouldn't have been in the water too long, it's NYC? they are crawling with police, fire and coast guard boats.

No. I'm betting there is more too it, the people in the hospital are being kept there. for a reason.

I think you nailed it. someone did fake their own death. I am curious to see who the critically injured/dead are. again, as I and someone else said, no way should that have resulted in deaths or even injury, beyond mild hypothermia.

impossible to find or read tail numbers? ( I'll go back and look at ground shots)

the pontoons are small, but big enough to invert it as it rolled over/sank. still no reason for deaths and critical condition. a "harness" in a helicopter isn't different than a seatbelt at an amusement park or a nascar. It's simpler than your car is. no button to push, just flip the front to unlatch.
