Is it the Q thruster you leapt on?

Q is the "quality" factor for a resonator or oscillator, in other words how much does it ring at the specific frequency it's tuned to. Q is used all over the place with this meaning in radio engineering.

 

"Q factor

In physics and engineering the quality factor or Q factor is a dimensionless parameter that describes how underdamped an oscillator or resonator is, and characterizes a resonator's bandwidth relative to its centre frequency."

 

I don't see any special relationship between the use of Q (quality factor) in these patents and the individual(s) we talk to here who are referred to as "Q".

However these patents fit very well with some of the physics that anon has studied over the years.
