It gives me great joy to hear that. So happy for you. Hatred can be such poison to the soul. It is so liberating to be freed from hatred, especially when it has become a deep-seated, character flaw.

It took me many years to learn the lesson of repaying evil with good but when eventually I "got it" and started practising it, the results were as amazing as they were unexpected (to me, anyway.) People are disarmed when their evil intent is repaid with kindness and it often stops them in their tracks. It can turn a vicious, downward spiral into a virtuous, upward spiral. Obvious, with hindsight, but took me far too long to learn the lesson. God be with you and bless you, dear anon. So happy for you.

If every generation AD had taken the view that the imminency of Jesus' return required removal from the world ("system" as you put it) very little would have been accomplished by the church of Jesus Christ. As Bible-believing Christians we are IN the world but not OF it. The moment we believe unto salvation we are translated into the kingdom of God. But for as long as we remain in our earthly bodies and are IN the world, then we have an obligation to continue with the Great Commission. To preach the Gospel and tell others how they may be saved from the wrath to come.

Will we ever know how many are complicit in sedition and treason through choice, and how many were co-erced/blackmailed/compromised and have been offered a chance of redemption?

For as long as the possibililty remains that Pence belongs to the latter camp, I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.
