Wealthy Elites Freak Out As Homeless Hordes Take Over West Coast Neighborhoods

The elite are very “tolerant” of the homeless until they start showing up in their own neighborhoods. Even though the mainstream media keeps telling us that the U.S. economy is “booming”, the number of Americans living on the streets continues to grow very rapidly, and this is particularly true in our major west coast cities. More than half a million Americans will sleep on the streets of our cities tonight, and they need help, care and shelter. Sadly, as economic conditions deteriorate that number is likely to double or even triple. Of course many among the elite are all in favor of doing something for the homeless, as long as they don’t have to be anywhere around them.

For example, let’s talk about what is going on in Los Angeles. No city on the west coast has a bigger problem with homelessness than L.A. does, and many in the homeless population enjoy camping out on the beautiful beaches in the L.A. area at night.

But of course many of the elite that paid millions of dollars for beachfront property are not too thrilled about this. Sex Pistols frontman Johnny Rotten was a key symbol of anti-establishment rebellion in the 1970s, but now he is freaking out because homeless people are making life very difficult for him and his wife in Venice Beach, and what he recently told Newsweek’s Paula Froelich is making headlines all over the nation…

He told her the homeless situation in his swanky LA neighborhood is so bad that thieves are tearing the bars from the windows of his multimillion-dollar home, lobbing bricks, setting up unsightly tent cities and littering the beach with syringes.

“A couple of weeks ago I had a problem,” the former punk prince opined. “They came over the gate and put their tent inside, right in front of the front door. It’s like . . . the audacity. And if you complain, what are you? Oh, one of the establishment elite? No, I’m a bloke that’s worked hard for his money and I expect to be able to use my own front door.”

It is more than just a little bit ironic that a man that used drugs, sex and rock and roll to shoot to global fame now sounds like a tired old crank that just wants to get the hippies off of his front lawn.

And he also says that the beach in front of his home is almost unusable because of all the needles and human poop in the sand…

Cops Open Fire on Pickup Truck Full of Children, Shooting 3 of Them, One in the Head

Children were shot in the head and a one-year-old baby was shot in the face as police opened fire on a pickup truck full of kids.

Oklahoma City, OK — A rather disturbing scene unfolded in Oklahoma City this weekend as police officers attempting to kill a robbery suspect opened fire on four small children, shooting three of them — one of them in the head.

According to police, they were searching for a robbery suspect when they found William Devaughn Smith, 21, in his pickup truck with the four children. When police made contact with Smith, they began shooting.

“As they tried to approach the suspect, there was an incident that happened. An officer involved shooting took place,” said OSBI Spokeswoman Jenny Virden.

During the shooting, police apparently didn’t care about or didn’t see the children in the pickup truck and so three of them were shot.

After shooting three children, police took to the press to point out the fact that not all of the children were shot as one of them luckily came out unscathed.

ICE Announces Plan To Stop ‘Fake Families’ And Child Smuggling At The Border

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced Monday that it is shifting its resources to deal with the influx of “fake families” arriving on the U.S-Mexico border.

“Fake families are being formed to cross our border and avoid detention. ICE [Homeland Security Investigations] is working with [Customs and Border Protection] to stop individuals, networks and organizations facilitating child smuggling and document fraud to illegally enter the U.S.,” ICE tweeted on Monday.

The agency stated that it is moving experts to the border to investigate child smuggling, and it will be using science data to “dismantle” the child trafficking rings employed by human smugglers working in Central American and Mexico. The announcement came on the same day as a media appearance by the agency’s acting director.

“What we’re currently doing is surging resources from ICE’s Homeland Security investigations to the border. We’re sending human trafficking experts, document fraud experts, forensic interviewers, victim assistance specialists, because our first and primary goal is the safety and security of these children,” said Acting ICE Director Matthew Albence during an appearance of Fox and Friends.

Family units make up a large portion of the illegal aliens apprehended at the southern border. Of all the people apprehended at the southwest border, 62 percent of them were an unaccompanied minor or claimed to be a part of a family unit. In a six-month time period, around 2,700 migrants were determined to be lying about their family unit claims.

The number of children traveling with adults who are lying about their relationship has raised concerns among immigration enforcement.

“These children are being victimized. We know they’re being trafficked, we know they’re being recycled and sent back across the border numerous times to be rented by these cartels and by these organizations to be utilized again and placed with a non-relative adult so that adult can be released because they know that we can’t hold them,” Albence continued

The Department of Homeland Security has already begun changing policy to deal with the huge wave of “fake” children arriving at the border, with officials now fingerprinting minors that are 14 and younger. Previously, Border Patrol agents would only occasionally take photos and collect some information on children. The changes, they believe, will help them better identify children being used by human smugglers.

Radio and newspaper advertisements in Central America are encouraging locals to flee to the U.S. illegally, and telling them to bring children with them as that increases their chances of making it into the interior of the country.

Hungary: The EU has provided 2 million migrants with unlawful cash cards worth 1.55 billion euros in an effort to legalise illegal migration

Over two million migrants have received anonymous debit cards at a cost of €1.55 billion, according to the Hungarian government.

“Over two million migrants have received anonymous debit cards. The equivalent of 500 billion forints (1.55 bn euros) has been spent in this manner”, Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister György Bakondi said on Hungarian M1 television.

Mr. Bakondi said that the cards are unlawful, because European citizens cannot own anonymous banking cards, they cannot be monitored, and no public procurement procedure was launched for their issuing.

“This solution, which has not been thought through and is unlawful, and other efforts on the part of the European Union to legalise illegal migration such as the migrant visa and the establishment of legal channels for immigration, represent a security risk with healthcare, economic and cultural consequences for Hungarian and European citizens”, he stated.

In the Chief Security Advisor’s opinion, the EU doesn’t want to stop migration, but legalise it.

“Hungary, however, does not agree with this. Hungary’s opinion is that the problem must not be brought into Europe, but that instead, assistance must be provided to enable problems to be solved on site”, he added.

Mr. Bakondi also mentioned that the good weather has led to an increase in the number of migrants on the Balkan migration route.

Campus Lecturer Tim Wise: Christians Should Be ‘Locked Up’

Anti-racism activist Tim Wise, who is scheduled to speak at an upcoming diversity conference at Harvard University, once argued that Christians should be locked up.

Wise is scheduled to give the keynote address at the upcoming “Decade of Dialogue” event at Harvard University. The College Fix pointed out this week the irony in Wise, a straight white man, giving the keynote address at a conference on diversity. But it is perhaps more significant to note that Wise has made several disparaging remarks about Christians in his career as an activist and writer.

In a tweet from 2017, Wise called Christians “Jeezoids.” In 2012, he tweeted that “people who believe in a God of hell/ damnation deserve to be mocked viciously and run out of public square.”

In a Facebook post in 2015, Tim Wise argued that Christians should be locked up for basing their morality on a “fairy tale.” The post was written in reference to comments Michele Bachmann had made against the legalization of gay marriage.

If you are basing your morality on a fairy tale written thousands of years ago, you deserve to be locked up…detained for your utter inability to deal with reality…NO, we are not obligated to indulge your irrationality in the name of your religious freedom…but we will provide you a very comfortable room, against which walls you may hurl yourself hourly if your choose. Knock yourself out….seriously, knock yourself out, completely, for weeks at a time…I’m sorta kidding but not by much.

Wise has spoken on over 600 college campuses about racial issues such as white privilege.

French Cops Find Criminals with Rocket Launcher In ‘Gun-Free’ Europe

Police in the French commune of Vaulx-en-Velin near Lyon made a shocking discovery over the weekend when they found a military-grade rocket launcher in the boot of a car.

The rocket launcher was discovered in the trunk of a Renault Megane belonging to two alleged criminals on Friday evening after police caught the pair outside a garage and later discovered the vehicle parked inside it, Le Parisien reports.

The two men, identified only as a 22-year-old and a 26-year-old, are already well-known to police according to investigators, with one source explaining that when the men were caught one of them had been in possession of the electronic starter of the car that contained the rocket launcher.

After arresting the pair, police said they searched the garage and found a number of items including chequebooks, stolen bank cards, and a number of automobile parts and licence plates. The car is believed to have been used in connection with robberies of freight trucks in the area as well.

Investigators of the law enforcement brigade of the judicial police of Lyon say they are currently trying to determine the role of the two young men in relation to the find, saying that they may have possibly either stumbled upon the garage during a regular break-in or may be involved in a larger network of smuggling auto-parts and illegal weapons.

The find of the rocket launcher is just the latest by French police in some of the country’s “sensitive” suburban areas, and is the third military weapon to be found in the last two months alone.

In 2017, French police in the heavily migrant-populated Seine-Saint-Denis suburbs of Paris also discovered an anti-tank rocket launcher, and then only a few months later another even larger weapons cache was found following raids in Eure-et-Loir, Eure, and Yvelines.

Prosecutor Rémi Coutin commented on the scale of the find, noting, ” investigators seized seven weapons of war, including two loaded and ready-to-run M80 rocket launchers capable of destroying a tank, two Kalashnikovs, one Spanish assault rifle, [and] two machine guns”.

He added that officers also found “twenty-two long guns including seven shotguns, 80 kg of ammunition or tens of thousands of rounds, and four jammers.”

Danish politician: “When Sweden fails and becomes an Arab State, we won’t have much in common – and we will end the Nordic Passport Union”

A Danish right-wing Parliament politician, Marie Krarup from the Danish People’s Party (DPP), talks about her view on Sweden in an interview with the Swedish news magazine Fokus.

“When Sweden fails and stops being Swedish, it will affect the rest of us too”, she says.

She describes the Swedish immigration policy as “lax and weak”. Sweden “does not understand how dangerous mass migration is”, according to her, and she sees the neighboring country as a deterring example.

“When Sweden fails and stops being Swedish, it affects us as well, and we can’t keep the passport union between our countries”, she tells Fokus.

“We have a lot in common with the Swedes, and we are close, but when they de facto become an Arab Middle Eastern county, we will no longer have that much in common.”

Fokus also writes that Krarup and DPP don’t want migrants to learn Danish or work, instead they should be sent home as soon as possible.

“If you are granted asylum you will receive a temporary residence permit, then you reside in Denmark until you are sent home. And you should be prepared to be sent home at any time”, she says.

She concludes by telling the magazine how shocked her colleagues were when they visited Malmö and saw the ghettos and the criminality there with their own eyes.

The parliamentary elections in Denmark will be held no later than June 17 this year.

China's Xi Jinping Brings In More Than $64 Billion In Belt And Road Deal

President Xi Jinping on Saturday hailed deals worth more than $64 billion signed during China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) this week as he sought to reassure skeptics the project will deliver sustainable growth for all involved.

Xi said market principles will apply in all Belt and Road cooperation projects and that his signature initiative to recreate the old Silk Road joining China with Asia and Europe will deliver green and high-quality development.

"More and more friends and partners will join in Belt and Road cooperation," Xi said in his closing remarks. "The cooperation will enjoy higher quality and brighter prospects."

Data from Refinitiv shows the total value of projects in the scheme stands at $3.67 trillion, spanning countries in Asia, Europe, Africa, Oceania and South America.

Some partner nations have complained about the high cost of projects of BRI, which was launched in 2013, while some western governments view it as a means to spread Chinese influence abroad, saddling poor countries with unsustainable debt.

China said this week it will establish a framework on debt sustainability to "prevent and resolve debt risks" as part of its efforts to allay such fears.

While most Belt and Road projects are continuing as planned, some have been caught up by changes in government in countries such as Malaysia and the Maldives.

China's state asset regulator said on Friday that at least 17 central government-owned firms, including companies such as China Railway Construction Corp and Mengniu Dairy, signed deals at the Belt and Road forum.

Le Pen: EU Has ‘Same Goal’ as USSR: ‘To Reduce Political, Legal Capacities of Resistance’

European populists have warned that the EU has the same “goal” as the former Soviet Union, which is to reduce the power of the nation-state.

Speaking at a Movement for a Europe of Nations and Freedom rally in Prague, Czechia, on Thursday, Gerolf Annemans made a reference to the Czech peoples’ subjugation by the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) when the former Czechoslovakia was a Soviet satellite state.

“Have you fought against the Soviet influence for so many years to undergo, from now on, the same yoke of the European Union?” asked Mr Annemans, a Belgian MEP and member of the right-populist Flemish Vlaams Belang party.

“The time of freedom has arrived. We are the resistance,” Mr Annemans added, in comments reported by Le Figaro.

Mr Annemans was joined on stage by fellow European patriots such as French National Rally leader Marine Le Pen, Geert Wilders of the Dutch Party for Freedom (PVV), and Britsh MEP Janice Atkinson.

Speaking to the crowd in Prague’s Wenceslas Square, Ms Le Pen also made the comparison between the EU and USSR, saying, “Today, the European Union does not have the capacity to send tanks on the streets or to fire on the crowd… Yet the goal is the same: to reduce our political, legal, and [national] identity capacities of resistance.”

“Federalists, EU supporters, want the dilution of the Nations for the benefit of an oligarchy of civil servants and experts. On the other side, there are the Patriots of all countries — us!” Ms Le Pen declared.

The populists were in the central European country to support Tomio Okamura of the Czech right-populist Freedom and Direct Democracy (SPD) party. Okamura, of Czech and Japanese extraction, is a local lawmaker who has his sights set on winning his party its first European Parliament seat in the EU elections at the end of May.

Yemen death toll to surpass 230,000 by end of 2019: UN report

More Yemenis die from side-effects of war than from fighting, study finds

By the end of 2019, fighting in Yemen will have claimed about 102,000 lives, according to new figures from the United Nations that indicate the war has killed far more people than previously reported.

A UN-commissioned report by University of Denver also revealed that more Yemenis were dying of hunger, disease and the lack of health clinics and other infrastructure than from fighting.

About 131,000 Yemenis will have died from these side effects of the conflict between the beginning in 2015 and the end of 2019, according to the 68-page study, called Assessing the Impact of War on Development in Yemen.

The combined death toll from fighting and disease is 233,000, or 0.8 percent of Yemen's 30 million-strong population.

Researchers also said that those five years of conflict will have cost Yemen’s economy $89bn.

"It's worse than people expected," Jonathan Moyer, an assistant professor and lead author on the report, told Middle East Eye.

"It's one of the highest-impact internal conflicts since the end of the Cold War. On par with Iraq, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo - conflicts with an impact on development that lasts for a generation."

According to Moyer, the vast majority of the victims of Yemen's conflict are children under five. The report says that one child dies from the war and its side effects every 11 minutes and 54 seconds.

"More can be done to stop this conflict and more should be done."

Moyer's team also projected forward, calculating Yemen's losses if the war were to drag on until 2030.

Jerome Corsi Claims Mueller’s Team Tried to Pressure Him Into Pleading Guilty

Author and political commentator Jerome Corsi, who was under investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller for potential collusion with Russia, claimed Mueller’s team tried to pressure him to plead guilty, during an interview with SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Tonight.

“I got subpoenaed on August 28. I provided my computers, my laptops, my backup devices, everything, I voluntarily gave to the Special Counsel and to his prosecutors, and from the beginning they treated me like a criminal,” he told host and Breitbart News Deputy Political Editor Amanda House in an exclusive interview on Thursday.

Corsi said prosecutors suspected he had communicated with WikiLeaks’ founder Julian Assange, whose website published embarrassing emails stolen from the Democratic National Committee. Corsi claimed that prosecutors tried to convince him to admit to being that link, despite his denials, so that they could establish collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

He alleged the Mueller team used aggressive tactics:

They bring you into this unmarked FBI building in southeast Washington. You come in through the garage, you have to go in and give them in this safe room your laptops, all your electronic devices, your computer, everything, and they bring you up to this internal conference room, with no windows, no clock, and it’s me and my attorney David Gray at this point, to sit across from three of the prosecutors on Mueller’s team, and six to nine FBI, and they start grilling you for hour after hour, and if you forget some emails, or if you state something different from something they have from a phone call three years ago which you didn’t remember, all the prosecutors stand up, the FBI, they stomp out of the room, they call your attorney into the next room, they say they’re going to put you in prison for the rest of your life.

He alleged this went on for 40 hours over two months, and ended because he did not have contact with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

Gunfire erupts near rear entrance of US embassy in Haiti, citizens urged to shelter in place

Gunfire has been reported coming from the rear entrance of the US embassy in Haiti, according to an official Twitter account for the US Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs.

“Shelter in place is in effect for the Embassy compound. If you are traveling to the Embassy, find a safe area to shelter in place,” the tweet stated.

The source of the gunfire, or whether there have been any injuries, is still unclear.

The embassy is located in Tabarre, a suburb just outside Port Au Prince, Haiti's capital.

Violence has gripped the city in recent weeks, with hectic demonstrations ongoing over official corruption.

Last week, US Congresswoman Maxine Waters and actor Danny Glover visited Haiti, where Waters hopes to address issues of gang violence.

Putin makes first comments on Russian agent jailed in US

Russian President Vladimir Putin has made his first comment about a self-admitted Russia agent sentenced in the United States.

Putin’s Saturday comments in Beijing were made after Russian foreign agent Maria Butina was sentences to 18 months in prison.

"It's an outrage," Putin told reporters. "It's not clear what she was convicted of or what crime she committed. I think it's a prime example of 'saving face.' They arrested her and put the girl in jail. But there was nothing on her, so in order not to look totally stupid they gave her, fixed her up, with an 18-month sentence to show that she was guilty of something."

There Are Two Little Problems with “Taxing the Rich” to Pay for “Free Everything”

No super-wealthy individual or household is going to pay billions in additional taxes when $10 to $20 million will purchase political adjustments.

The 2020 election cycle has begun, and a popular campaign promise is “free everything” paid for by new taxes on the super-wealthy. Who doesn’t like free stuff? Who will vote for whomever offers them free stuff? No wonder it’s a popular campaign promise.

As even the most self-absorbed American voter has a latent street-savvy awareness that nothing is truly free, the other popular campaign promise is to “tax the rich” to pay for the proposed “free” programs. Proposals to “Tax the rich” feed off the growing awareness that the financial wealth created since 2000 has largely flowed to the very top of the wealth-power pyramid, and so it’s payback time: tax those who have pocketed the lion’s share of income and wealth gains.

Fair enough, right? Even the super-rich publicly affirm that the super-wealthy should pay at least the same percentage of federal tax as their employees.

Public pronouncements are of course good PR, but the real issue is what will the super-wealthy do behind closed doors to protect their wealth from additional taxation. There are two issues here: one is that the wealthy already pay most of the federal income taxes, and the second is the compelling cost-benefit of funding political adjustments to the new taxes.

If one has a taste for facts, it turns out the U.S. federal tax system is highly progressive: the top 1% pay the highest tax rates (see CBO chart below) and about 37% of all federal income tax. The top 5% pay almost 60% of all federal income taxes. (Note Social Security payroll taxes are not income taxes; most wage earners pay more payroll taxes than they do income taxes.)

A good source for this sort of data is the Congressional Budget Office reports (scroll down to Distribution of Household Income and Federal Taxes).

The CBO data is noteworthy for including all income, not just wages: capital gains, business income and government transfers (Social Security, social welfare programs, etc.)

The new idea in current “tax the rich” proposals is to increase taxes on the super-wealthy: mega-millionaires and billionaires. Given the outsized gains secured by these mega-wealthy folks, it makes sense to nail them for the tax revenues needed to pay for more free stuff.
