Time lag for posting too quickly is much better. CAPTCHA sucks bigly. Very bureaucratic, like govt paperwork. I adapt pretty well to most things, but not this. Like paying a tax on every transaction.

Yesterday, anons were fighting about a baker saying "baking is fun." Like there's something wrong with that. Well, somebody's solved that problem now. Not much fun here right now.

But you'll get called a shill for saying that. Look at other posts….by the way, just noticed that the REGULAR captcha is also still in place. So I typed the post captcha, and then had to type the other one, too. Now the original post captcha has expired, so must be retyped….but I mistyped it several times….pretty labor intensive post.

Yes, I am. I'm fighting for something that's worth it in the long run. And you don't have to get snarky with me, anon, I am not your enemy simply because I disagree.

Re the baking for fun thing: you know, it's just an offhand remark. All the bakers I know bake to serve, but it sounds too grand to put it that way. So maybe someone makes light.

I respect your opinion and appreciate your thoughtful response, baker. I know baking can be done with Captcha, I'm just not sure I can manage it physically. If others can manage it, I wish them well. Blessings.

Shills do not censor online speech. They try to interfere with it via distraction. The refusal to be distracted thwarts their efforts. Isn't that what we have always maintained?

>security is MORE important than Communication

Is it even about security? Or just the desire to get rid of shill posts and spam? Yes, it would be nice to have fewer shill posts. But at what cost??

BTW, notice the response you got from other anons. It bothers me that they argue by calling anyone who doesn't go along with CAPTCHA a shill or "not a real anon." Alinsky may endorse that kind of tactic, but it doesn't solve problems in a divided community.

You have no idea about my work ethic, anon. And I'm not going to defend it to you, someone who calls another anon "retard" because of a differing opinion. I have strong convictions about this, that's all–both practical and philosophical.

Moar name calling. How does that help, anon? You assume it's about laziness. I could call that lazy thinking, friend. There are many reasons people oppose the captcha per post. And most of them have nothing to do with physical laziness.

Related to the flick Girl, Interrupted, IMO:

Set in the changing world of the late 1960s, "Girl, Interrupted" is the searing true story of Susanna Kaysen (Winona Ryder), a young woman who finds herself at a renowned mental institution for troubled young women, where she must choose between the world of people who belong on the inside – like the seductive and dangerous Lisa (Angelina Jolie) – or the often difficult world of reality on the outside.

There is a lot to chew on there–about a distorted vision of the world, psychic manipulation, life inside/outside an institution (like the DS)?
