I suggest increasing the frequency of the CAPTCHAs for IP ranges associated with Tor and VPNs. A CAPTCHA for every post is not quite what I had in mind. But I suppose it's easier to implement and might actually work better.
I donno. But it would mean giving up anonymity. And then there is the false-sense-of-security factor.

Just about any piece of audio editing software can do that. Audacity can, is free, and is available for all three major OSs. Have fun.
That said, I think hearing hidden messages in audio that's played backwards is a bit like seeing shapes in clouds.
