Marina's address of her upstate NY home. Posted address thinking it might be worth logging for planefags in case of anything suspicious in the area. With all her connections to the those who are now the hunted - home is rural enough with plenty of landing space for helos.

Plus large buildings - and we know what she and her pals are into…..

From the article about her house:

17 October 2015 • 9:00am

It took me around 30 seconds to make up my mind to buy Star House,’ the performance artist Marina Abramovic says of her home in Malden Bridge, New York State. The house, which is in the shape of a six-pointed star, had languished on the market for five years before she snapped it up for $1.25 million in 2007.

Too avant-garde for American sensibilities, it spoke to the artist on many levels. ‘I was brought up in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, a communist country, so the star is a potent symbol for me,’ Abramovic, 68, explains. ‘It is on my birth certificate; it was on all my textbooks in school.’

I wonder if she's too avant-garde for a noose? Or being bludgeoned to death by a rusty spoon?

I posted some background info in the thread that someone made for the crash, as well as in one of the breads a few back.

Was a helicopter owned by Liberty Helicopters, Inc and registered to Meridian Consulting I Corp Inc out of Kearny, NY.

Meridian Consulting / Liberty Helicopters has a history. The helicopter involved in the mid-air collision in 2009 that killed 9 was one of theirs. Lawsuits filed in US District court in Newark, NJ suing them on behalf of the families of the 5 Italian tourists on the helicopter, and the 4 onboard the small engine plane the helo crashed into. Haven't followed up on any recent happenings with those cases.

Prior to that, had another accident in June of 2007 where one of their helos suddenly dropped 500ft into the Hudson. All on board survived thanks to EMT who was on board that led everyone to rescue.

It seemed like the video was taken from inside a building, so couldn't tell if there was any engine noise. However, and I'll preface this with I'm not a helo pilot, but when you have engine failure, and provided everything doesn't completely seize up, your only chance of not smashing hard on impact is to go through a process called "autorotation". You use the air traveling over the rotors to get them spinning…. then beyond that is above my pay grade. A quick dig on autorotation will give a true explanation.

Only pointing this out to say that the engine could have indeed failed and the blades could still be turning. The pilot using autorotation could be what softened the impact.

Makes sense. In other pictures I've seen of Liberty Helicopters' while they have people on board for photographing tours, the people are in some instances hanging out of the helicopter. So they must have some serious harnesses for that to be allowed. Again, also possibly what led to them being unable to free themselves.

Simply looking up autorotation videos will show you that you can indeed travel forwards during an autorotation landing.

Again, I'm no expert. But clearly, neither are you.

My initial search turned up a Cardiologist / Vascular M.D with quite a few locations in that area….. which is an……. interesting…. coincidence if that's the guy.

She said in that interview that the property "languished on the market for 5 years" before she bought it…. don't know what that means or if it's true.
