Most likely Trump team is trying to keep the economy from crashing while they are also trying to pull off a massive overhaul of corruption at the highest levels, plus trying to wake up the masses from their hypnosis - both almost impossible tasks by themselves
For >90% of the middle and upper class, and retired people, the most important thing in their lives other than their spouse & children is their stock market investments and their property values.
The Dems and DS would surely love to crash the economy between now and the presidential election. It wouldn't take much since the economy has been entirely propped up by worldwide QE since the "Great Recession" 10 years ago.
