Behold the power of God in the Psalms!

The future proves the past.

Psalm 47:

God’s Rule over the Nations

A Psalm of the Sons of Korah.

47 Clap your hands, all peoples!

Shout to God with loud songs of joy!

2 For the Lord, the Most High, is terrible,

a great king over all the earth.

3 He subdued peoples under us,

and nations under our feet.

4 He chose our heritage for us,

the pride of Jacob whom he loves. Selah

5 God has gone up with a shout,

the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.

6 Sing praises to God, sing praises!

Sing praises to our King, sing praises!

7 For God is the king of all the earth;

sing praises with a psalm!

8 God reigns over the nations;

God sits on his holy throne.

9 The princes of the peoples gather

as the people of the God of Abraham.

For the shields of the earth belong to God;

he is highly exalted!

Behold the power of God in the Psalms!

The future proves the past.

Psalm 120:

Prayer for Deliverance from Slanderers

A Song of Ascents.

120 ]In my distress I cry to the Lord,

that he may answer me:

2 “Deliver me, O Lord,

from lying lips,

from a deceitful tongue.”

3 What shall be given to you?

And what more shall be done to you,

you deceitful tongue?

4 A warrior’s sharp arrows,

with glowing coals of the broom tree!

5 Woe is me, that I sojourn in Meshech,

that I dwell among the tents of Kedar!

6 Too long have I had my dwelling

among those who hate peace.

7 I am for peace;

but when I speak,

they are for war!

Barr didn't want to waste his precious time subjecting himself to kangaroo court style "cross examination" by committee staff.

If it had just been the congress critters doing the questions he would have showed up. They in essence by party line vote chose for Barr not to show up.
