It's great they are doing this but she needs to slow down and relax a bit. I don't like being shouted at personally. Passion is one thing, rattling off a speech at machine gun pace is not particularly useful. Good to see God back in the narrative though. God Bless us everyone.
There are several different sects of Jews from what I understand. Seems to me that the main thing, or more important thing revolves around who they are actually following. Moses, or someone else? If they had obeyed or followed Moses, they would have embraced Yeshua but they didn't and Jerusalem was destroyed for it.
Luk 19:41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
Luk 19:42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
Luk 19:43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
Luk 19:44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
Jesus Cleanses the Temple
Luk 19:45 And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;
Luk 19:46 Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.
Luk 19:47 And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
Luk 19:48 And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.
It's interesting how the, "elite," of the day, the scribes and pharisees and priests were the ones who had issues with Him. The one and only time that is recorded of Him ever being physical was with the money changers, i.e. the bankers of that time. This stems from the fact that during holidays or whenever tithes had to be paid, they had to be paid in shekels. Now, for those money changer to even be in the temple area, they had to have permission from who? That's right, the priests. Do you think those priests didn't get a cut of the profit from those money changers? You can bet your last bagel they did. How do you think they got so rich in the first place?
When the temple was destroyed they were in a fix, they no longer were able to do what they thought they were supposed to do concerning Mosaic law. They also missed the fact that the temple was not really needed anymore because it was originally built to be the house or, "dwelling place," of God. Once the blood of Yeshua was spilled, He fulfilled and ratified the new covenant. That is WHY He is called the lamb of God. The other thing is that Gods definition of a Jew is, "his chosen people." God can choose who He wants and it isn't necessarily an ethnic thing. Gods chosen people are those who listen to Him and obey.
So considering the Jews past history of screwing up time and time again, they have been being spanked for the last 2k years or so. However, God still has plans for them because He still honors His covenant with Abraham.
