Any kind of oil will work on a tick. It will bring it to the surface in 10 seconds or less. We get a few here and there and any oil works- for prevention, eucalyptus sprayed on your pants/socks is best. They hate it.

Eucalyptus oil! They HATE it. Spray some on your socks or wherever you want. They will not go near you. Haven’t had one in over a year on myself or the dogs.
