Trump mentioned Icahn a lot in Rally speeches. Said Icahn would /could be the China negotiator on new trade deals. Pretty sure Icahn was always one of the 'killers' Trump talked about knowing.
Trump talked tariffs from the get go, too. I think everyone knew tariffs were coming once Trump won. Not sure where the insider trading charge comes from.
