Poll: Two-thirds of voters oppose impeachment proceedings

The latest Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll found that 65 percent of voters oppose impeachment proceedings. A majority of Democrats, 56 percent, support impeachment, however only 32 percent of independents and 14 percent of Republicans are in favor.

A majority of voters, 58 percent, said it’s time to turn the page on the Russia investigations, including 60 percent of independents, although two-thirds of Democrats want to see further investigations.

Trump says he did not confront Putin on election interference in post-Mueller call

Speaking in the Oval Office, Trump lashed out at a reporter who interjected to ask him whether he told Putin not to interfere, telling her “you are very rude.”

“We didn’t discuss that. Really, we didn’t discuss it,” Trump said when asked a second time, adding they “went into great detail” on issues such as Venezuela, North Korea and nuclear arms control.
