Look at the un-American symbolism in Karate Kid.

You have the virtuous Japanese sensei Miyagi vs the supposedly evil US military veteran sensei Kreese.

WTF is up with that?

Hollywood fuckery turned a generation of kids against the US military and its heroic veterans.

"Thank you for your service" was turned into 'Babykillers" and some misguided thought that the Japanese should have won WWII.

This idea about WWII is echoed in Quint's USS Indianapolis speech in 'Jaws' where it's implied that the US soldiers were eaten by sharks as cosmic karma for having delivered the atomic bombs that were used against the Japanese.

Hollywood mind control has a lot to answer for.

Look who runs Hollywood.

>Miyagi character was a US Medal of Honor recipient

Thank you anon, I forgot that part of his backstory.

I find it a little little far-fetched and, to me, it still talks to the movie's anti-American themes.

As if the Japanese are so much more virtuous than the Americans that their citizens even fought for the US against their mother country. I doubt there are any Japanese movies that show the opposite i.e Americans fighting for Japan.

Hollywood's attempts to undermine America know no bounds.
