This is so true. It's sad.
All my life I grew up thinking we Americans we're "dumb", but when it comes down to it, we are pretty much the most informed people in the world.
Outside of USA as you said competition in media is limited and when it comes to social media, forget about it. Our capacity and venues to shit post is light years ahead of anyone else.
