I don't know if any anons are familiar with the case of KY Amish farmer Sam Girod. He was convicted of a victimless crime due to over-zealous FDA action regarding some home made herbal products he was selling. Frankly, he probably got in trouble due to the fact that home made herbal treatments are BETTER than the crap the FDA approves. Anyway, there's been a petition on line to get his sentence commuted or to obtain a presidential pardon. (I think he was supposed to remain imprisoned for 6 years but the FDA originally wanted something like 49!). Now Amish Sam is asking people to help him get moved to a halfway house near his family. He is basically the founder of a community of 600 and he is separated from his family (wife and 14 children) and 25 grandchildren. His community is stressed by having to use technology that is against their religious beliefs in order to stay in contact with him. https://www.change.org/p/help-us-get-a-presidential-pardon-for-ky-amish-farmer-samuel-girod/u/24509332?cs_tk=Audx_UrBNBhZKUh00VwAAXicyyvNyQEABF8BvLwylVjDwFamXwJZiEs3kxk%3D&utm_campaign=900194c9bd514206a95014e0a87f32fc&utm_medium=email&utm_source=petition_update&utm_term=cs
I think a little differently than you. I think these platforms are destroying themselves and I love it. I rejected FB in 2017 and pretty much never looked back. All these "platforms" are like intelligence tests: Those addicted to fake news and fake socialization. (like other addictions) suffer the consequences. Anons can and do find out other ways to stay in touch and some of the communications that we "lose" weren't good for us anyway. Perhaps Trump has given the tech platforms some marching orders. Doesn't it seem really blatant how "anti-conservatve" the tech chumpanies are? I think that in order to avoid severe penalties some are contributing to a certain "playbook" gradually letting the public know just how bad it was getting.
