Time is running out for the gold miners in Oregon to petition the Supreme Court to hear the suction dredge ban case. This is about preventing citizens from mining gold on public land with motorized equipment. Making gold mining unprofitable.
It gets recycled, along with the mercury. Dredgers are the only to get that crap out of the water. The big gripes are turbidity and competing for use of the public land with rafters, rabid enviros and sport fishing. The accusation of environmental harm is unproven.
