Australia ceases multimillion-dollar donations to controversial Clinton family charities

The federal government confirmed to news.com.au it has not renewed any of its partnerships with the scandal-plagued Clinton Foundation, effectively ending 10 years of taxpayer-funded contributions worth more than $88 million.

The Clinton Foundation has a rocky past. It was described as “a slush fund”, is still at the centre of an FBI investigation and was revealed to have spent more than $50 million on travel.

Despite that, the official website for the charity shows contributions from both AUSAID and the Commonwealth of Australia, each worth between $10 million and $25 million. (https:// www.clintonfoundation.org/contributors?category=%2410%2C000%2C001+to+%2425%2C000%2C000)

Australian Amb. Who Prompted Trump-Russia Probe Has Decade Long Relationship To Clintons – Jim Jordan Wants Answers (And A Second Special Counsel)

http:// dailycaller.com/2018/03/06/australian-ambassador-clinton-foundation-fbi-trump-russia-probe/

The Australian diplomat whose account of a 2016 conversation with embattled Trump campaign staffer George Papadopoulos prompted the FBI to formally open its Russia collusion probe has a decade-long, multi-million dollar connection to the Clinton Foundation.

The Hill reported that Alexander Downer — who at the time served as Australia’s foreign minister — helped launch a $25 million partnership between Australia and The Clinton Foundation to help fight AIDS back in 2006.

Not only was the initiative one of the single, largest charitable endeavors undertaken in The Clinton Foundation’s 21 year history — Australia was one of only four countries to pledge $25 million to The Clinton Foundation — but Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan now says that the FBI failed to alert Congress of Downer’s connection to the Clintons.

FBI Interviewed Uranium One Informant in Clinton Foundation Investigation

https:// saraacarter.com/fbi-interviewed-uranium-one-informant-in-clinton-foundation-investigation/

A former FBI informant who spent more than six years undercover gathering information on the Russian energy and uranium market was recently interviewed by FBI agents from the Little Rock, Arkansas field office as part of an ongoing bureau investigation into the Clinton Foundation, according to Victoria Toensing, the attorney representing the informant.

Toensing disclosed the information in a letter asking for a retraction to The Hill’s article published Thursday, which was based solely on a Democrat memorandum attacking the credibility of William Douglas Campbell, the former informant. Democrats stated that Campbell provided no evidence to the congressional committees of “quid pro quo” regarding the Clinton Foundation and the Russians.

Aussie Diplomat Who Got Trump-Russia Ball Rolling Tied to Clinton Foundation

Downer and the Investigation

Alexander Downer is now Australia’s ambassador to London. In May 2016 he meets in a London bar with a young chap named George Padapolous. The one-time Trump campaign adviser is a talker. A boaster. Particularly, it seems, when drunk. He starts blabbing that the Russian government has dirt on Hillary. He would claim he was told by an associate that Russian officials had obtained Hillary’s emails.

The U.S. knew by May 2016 that Hillary’s server was easy pickings for our enemies. The early draft of the Comey Memo concluded it was “reasonably likely” Hillary’s emails were grabbed. Fox News reported Monday that Peter Strzok knew of a possible breach, but did nothing.

Downer sat on this barroom blubber for two months. However, when Democratic emails — not Hillary emails, mind you — began showing up on WikiLeaks, the Aussie government decided to share the quadruple hearsay with their American counterparts.

The positive spin on this: That’s what friends do. The cynical spin: That’s what friends with a long standing relationship with Hillary do in an election battle.

And on the basis of what an Aussie diplomat says a drunk said an associate said a Russian official said, the FBI launched a probe into the Trump campaign.

Presidential Politics

The Clinton Foundation was founded in 1997. The Clinton Health Access Initiative in 2002. What was going on in 2006 that could explain the Aussies suddenly breaking open the piggy bank? The Australian newspaper offered a clue in 2008. “The donation was made when the insurgency in Iraq was crippling the presidency of George W. Bush and when Ms. Clinton was clear favourite for the Democratic nomination for the 2008 election.”

In other words, Hillary Clinton was set to be next President of the United States.

Australian money began flowing into the Foundation. It continued flowing through Hillary’s time as Secretary of State and the 2016 campaign. The Foundation wasn’t the only one rolling in Aussie dough. Throw in Clinton’s Global Partnership for Education and Australia funneled $460 million into Clinton-affiliated groups. (And former Aussie prime minister and vocal Hillary supporter Julia Gillard became chairman of the Global Partnership.)

But in late November 2016, the money stopped. Australia announced it was not renewing any of its Foundation partnerships. (Despite signing a five-year pledge in 2014.)

What was going on late November 2016? Hillary Clinton was not going to be President of the United States.
