However, that is not the reason we were given for the captcha. Nobody would have been able to sell it by saying, "this will slow everything down to a snail's pace." Instead, we were given the whole "WMDs in Iraq" speech, and when no "WMDs" were found, (i.e. no shills/bots/spammers were hindered,) (you just moved the goalpost and said "screw you/you're a shill/it was done to slow evryone down.")

This is a circular argument, just like the bureaucratic Deep State uses for every wrong-headed, red-tape regulation they implement. The goal is manipulation and control, power over anons, enjoying your ability to forcefeed and bend other human being to your will, regardless of how repetitive and frustrating your little regulation is…

This is what I'm saying. The captcha is accomplishing something. It is making a petty, little, power-hungry dickhead somewhere feel like an Emperious despot, because not caring what Anons think about "the captcha" gets him off, somehow.

An honest man would gather all the discussion about Captcha, and how real people feel about it into a bun, and point it out to the BO.

We are sick of being called ""shills"" for pointing out the obvious.

This was a good and productive discussion that is long overdue, and many good points were made, (and not on both sides.)

The only weak, tepid point made for the captcha was "It slows everything down," (which isn't necessary during night shift, ever, at all…)

I am so impressed that we've had such an honest discussion about this, with only a few shills immediately shouting insults. I'm convinced that night shift anons are among the most dedicated and serious digital warriors. We flesh things out in a way unknown to other 'shifts.' Everything you listed is observable and true. A good coherent addition to the bun about captcha that I hope one day the BVs/BO takes time to read and consider.
