Take the example of POTUS calling Jack to the WH. Gotta believe POTUS let Jack know exactly what they're looking at (knowingly) and that he's (Jack) in deep shit if he continues down that path.
So Jack continues down the path. Tells me Jack is more afraid of the people who's telling him to continue then he is of POTUS. That's actually a good thing (as well as a mistake by Jack), IMO, because it shows the bad guys are at the nothing left to lose stage. Add to that, POTUS didn't arbitrarily/dictatorially make a hard ass crackdown wrt knowingly reporting fake news and the consequences, rather he warned people it was coming and those people decided to say fuck you.
Makes me think we're getting close.
