Disputable by grammatical puritans but I get where you're coming from. Probably a point not worth raising at the start - please forgive me. These minute differences in semantics and grammatical constructions are really not worth the keyboard effort expended. I was out of order in making a distinction that has little or no value. I would have been better off objecting to and instance where the real perversion language is occurring so that meaning is being obscured. My favourite is government's propensity to speak of investment when they spend taxpayer money when the truth is they are funding consumption.
