STFU…I JUST went to WinStar Farm 2 weeks ago…horse pool, spa, massages daily, free time to play, stalls cleaned twice a day, dental every day. Those horses are treated better than the average human being. I am around race horses at least 4 times a week…I know Trainers, Jockeys, Stewards, and have had a racing license. Go fuck yourself! I watched the race WITH a Jockey last night who is personal friends with the Stewards who made the call. The issue is the horse moved into another's lane, which according to my friend, was not the horse, but the jockey. He clearly moved over and almost clipped heels which would have potentially been a tragedy. The issue is the rules…you cannot get out like that without penalty. He is facing additional penalties from the Racing Commission for a dangerous move. In any other race it would be decided the same. She made the right decision. I felt heartbroken for Saez who lost…his brother was killed about 4-5 years ago at Indiana Downs. He was 17, I believe. Not what we expected to happen and bittersweet ending. It will be contested by Saez, though and will most likely go to court esp if the Commission issues a fine and/or suspension.
