Today is my parent's 57th wedding anniversary. Pops won't remember because he's dying of alzheimer's. He didn't deserve this ending. He worked his ass off his whole life, served his country in the Naval Reserves during the Cuban missile crisis and raised his kids to be good, responsible citizens.
His reward is he gets to die surrounded by people he doesn't know and those he can't remember. They can't afford hospice so they had to sign away their savings to keep up with his care.
Their reward for being the greatest generation…. they get to break even.
Please Q, Let this be the last generation to ever say that shit.
