Can they handle another blow? Dems dying for Mueller to testify, but what if they get nothing out of it?

The swamp is being replenished as Dems excitedly wait for the possible testimony of Robert Mueller before Congress. Last week, Lindsey Graham surprised almost everyone by publicly inviting former special counsel Mueller to appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee to clear up issues about whether he was truly disappointed in Attorney General William Barr’s characterization of his Russia Collusion investigation.

At this point, it is unknown if Mueller will accept the invitation to appear before Congress, whether it be in the Senate or the House.

The possibility has tongues wagging in the capital and Democrats are wiggling in their seats in hopes they’ll have the chance to interrogate Mueller. Meanwhile, they desperately grasp what is hopefully the last chance they have to extend the ridiculous collusion hoax … now in its third year.

“Mueller has to testify,” said Democrat Rep. Ro Khanna, according to a report in The Hill. “I think that will be determinative. No one in this country, no one in this body, has more credibility than Bob Mueller. He’s the one person who’s been circumspect. He’s showed humility. I think the American people are going to hear him and make a determination.”

Would it surprise anyone if Mueller comes in and dashes the hopes and expectations of the left, and they change their minds about Mueller’s reliability?

Democratic congressman walks back statement that Mueller will testify on May 15

Democratic Rep. David Cicilline of Rhode Island walked back comments he made Sunday indicating special counsel Robert Mueller would testify before Congress in May.

Appearing on “Fox News Sunday,” Cicilline said that the date of May 15 had been fixed for Mueller to appear before the House Judiciary Committee.

“A tentative date has been set for May 15 and we hope the special counsel will appear,” Cicilline said. “We think the American people have a right to hear directly from him.”

After his appearance on the show, however, Cicilline took to Twitter to clarify that the May 15 date was not in fact set.

“Just to clarify: we are aiming to bring Mueller in on the 15th, but nothing has been agreed to yet. That’s the date the Committee has proposed, and we hope the Special Counsel will agree to it. Sorry for the confusion,” he tweeted.

On the show, Cicilline, 57, a former Mayor of Providence and the first openly gay mayor of a state capital, said that a representative of Mueller had confirmed, but expressed a bit of uncertainty about whether Mueller would end up showing.

“The White House has so far indicated they would not interfere with Mr. Mueller's attempts to testify,” the congressman said Sunday. “Until the day comes we never have an absolute guarantee.”

Democrats have been calling for Mueller to testify since a redacted version of his 448-page report was released last month. Attorney General William Barr testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday but did not appear before the House Judiciary Committee.

Paradise Receives (some) Replacement Flags

PARADISE, Calif.– More than 1100 flags in Paradise were stored at the Elks Lodge that was completely destroyed during the Camp Fire in November.

The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) raised nearly $2,000 to pay for the replacement of 85 flags for the town of Paradise. Saturday the flags were presented.

The Town says the flags are a symbol of strength and a small step in helping them move forward.

Paradise councilman and Chairman of the Paradise Parade of Flags Michael Zuccolillo said the annual Parade of Flags is a tradition that's been in existence for two decades.

"Paradise is a town that respects our veterans and respects their service and know that many gave all. It's something near and dear to our hearts," said Zuccolillo.

He goes on to say, "It wasn't something that was gonna die with the fire."

The Parade of Flags will be raised again this Memorial Day on May 27th.
