"Despite the ceasefire previously hammered out by Egypt, a sniper from Iran's proxy—the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ)—opened fire across the Gaza fence wounding an Israeli officer and soldier on Friday. The attack is all the more brazen as it took place as Hamas and PIJ leaders were in Cairo finishing an agreement to ease the tensions in Gaza and Israel's south. The IDF responded to the initial incident by targeting a Hamas outpost, killing three Hamas terrorists."

Boeing admits it knew of flaw in 737 MAX planes before fatal crash

 

 

"Boeing acknowledged on Sunday they were aware a safety alert on their 737 MAX planes was not working correctly — but did not disclose the information until a plane crashed after the sensor malfunctioned.

 

The airplane manufacturer said that the defect — which prevents pilots from being warned about the pitch of the plane’s nose — was discovered after the MAX plane had been in flight for several months in 2017.

 

The sensor would only work correctly if the airline purchased a separate feature.

 

It was not clear if the defect caused an Ethiopian airplane to crash in March, killing 346 people.

 

Boeing’s disclosure on Sunday, however, raised fresh questions about the company’s candor with regulators and airline customers."
