Morsefag audiofag here.
Anons pleaded with 2 Morsefags to listen to the song "M.I.A. - Paper Planes (Official Music Video)"
https://invidio.us/watch?v=ewRjZoRtu0Y
that was tweeted by Julian Assange,
because anons believed they heard "Morse Code" in the last 11.6 seconds of the song starting at time marker 3:10.
Conclusion: It is not Morse Code.
Procedure: Took an 11.6 second audio clip from the music video in MP3 format.
Downloaded and opened with Audacity 2.1.2.
Listened numerous times with headphones.
Did spectral analysis to identify audio peaks for further processing.
Peaks were noted at 1192 Hz (D6), 2298 Hz (D7) and 3526 Hz (A7). These 3 notes are harmonically related, D7 being the 1st harmonic of D6 and A7 being the 2nd harmonic.
Tried EVERY filter that Audacity has.
Tried speed changes.
I will post some of the more notable ones so others can study this.
Bottom line repeated: This is not Morse Code and cannot be decoded as a "message".
Pic related are screen captures documenting the 5 audio clips.
