Not sure, many think a guy live streaming 8chan on yt grabbed the bread and was baking. Could be investigated by pairing the live stream with when Notables were posted, etc. I'm not sure myself.
Yes, around Sept 12 last year, Reddit refugees were directed to VOAT QRC. Apparently, there has may now be some trouble with censorship from mods. But that is secondhand info, though, haven't checked it out enough to know for sure. Heard it was getting shilled pretty heavy, tho. In Sept, shilling was now bad.

Maybe it's all the unrest about BO leaving, concerns about new BO/Captcha unset & moar suspicion towards bakers or those who somebody decides doesn't have the right kind of patriot views. There's 8chan and then there's QResearch. Not quite the same focus (or shouldn't be).
