This has nothing to do with ego. It's about getting information out. While Anons like yourself are busy commenting on other Anons "self-importance" (which is kind of a ridiculous concept in an anonymous forum), you could be spending that time doing actual research on things that matter. I have seen too much information overlooked while Anons wait to be "nominated". That seems counterproductive if your interest is truly getting information out there. If more Anons would bring their valid research to the bakers' attention and format it to make the bakers' job easier (as is the case in an actual news environment), less of the valuable info would be overlooked and lost in the shuffle.
