Still interested, just take time digging. Let things digest a bit before taking another step.

Here's the tree of relations between Henry II and Phillip II. Robert II, King of the Franks 2nd in the House of Capet, is the common ancestor. Some observations:

1 - If the Salian Law is that the power is passed on to the direct male descendant, then Phillip II had a legitimate reason to believe that his line was "superior" to Henry II's. I believe one can trace this left Capetian branch patriarchally all the way down to Louis XVI and the modern day Bourbons.

2 - However, Adela took care of Phillip I after his father (her brother, Henry I on the left) died so obviously there was a familial connection between the 2 branches in the beginning.

3 - William the Conqueror married "into" the branch on the right, although he was a distant cousin. Yes, he is the one who made this the English branch.

4 - The "Plantagenet" name comes from Geoffrey Plantegenet (Henry II's father) who also married "into" this English branch on the right. Moar on him in the next post.

5 - What's interesting to me in this "Plantagenet" branch on the right – during the reigns of Henry II (the conflict with Thomas Beckett over the merging of church & state) & his sons Richard (the 3rd Crusades) & John (the Magna Carta) – all of these events have reverbations into the modern day, primarily in the UK. The more you start digging beneath the surface of current events, the more relevant they are.

Clovis was Merovingian. All the sauce I've personally dug up so far (e.g. >>6476031) states the line we are discussing was of Carolingian ancestry, i.e. the 'deep state' during the Merovingian dynasty that took over the Frankish throne.

The common ancestor that all these people have is Charlemagne, the 1st Holy Roman Emperor.

The question is whether any of these people have Merovingian blood in them at all (through marriage) and where or whether this Merovingian thing is all one 1000+ year old cultural appropriation psyop by a giant family line of imposters.
