Spain arrests 5 in Guatemala corruption investigation

Spanish anti-corruption prosecutors have arrested five people who are suspected of being involved in payoffs by a Barcelona company to the former president and vice president of Guatemala.

Prosecutors say Wednesday the case concerns the alleged payment between 2012 and 2015 of $30 million (27 million euros) in bribes by a Barcelona port operations company.

The money allegedly went to then-president Otto Pérez Molina and his vice president Roxana Baldetti for a contract to build and operate a container terminal in Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala's largest Pacific Ocean port.

The statement by prosecutors also says they are investigating the alleged payment in 2016 of 10 million euros ($11 million) to a then-Spanish police commissioner to stop the extradition to Guatemala of the CEO of the firm named Grup Maritim Terminal de Contenedores de Barcelona.

Passenger plane skids off runway in Myanmar, breaks into three (PHOTOS)

A Biman Airlines’ Bombardier Dash-8 aircraft has skidded off the runway at Myanmar’s Yangon International Airport, losing its wings and breaking into three parts. Pilots were attempting to land as the accident occurred.

There are conflicting reports on injuries, with some local media reporting 40 people injured, and others reporting only 33 people on board. A Biman Airlines spokesman told Bangladeshi news site BDnews that four of the 33 people were injured, including the pilot.

Rep. Ilhan Omar Supports Group That Produced Child Beheading Skit

Why has Omar openly supported an organization with a long reported record of supporting terrorism and violence, as exhibited most recently by a shocking children’s pageant in Philadelphia last month?

Shocking footage uncovered by the Investigative Project last week shows a skit produced by the Muslim American Society (MAS) in Philadelphia showing children calling for martyrdom as soldiers in the “army of Allah” and threatening to behead their enemies and subject them to “eternal torture” to wrest Jerusalem from Jewish control.

The horrific MAS-Philly children’s skit was posted to their Facebook page and shows a choreographed production as part of the group’s April 17th “Ummah Day” pageant dedicated to supporting jihad to control Palestine. A MAS statement on Friday said the songs and poems the children recited exhorting violence and terrorism were an “unintended mistake” and attributed the incident to a vetting error.

MAS has 42 chapters across the United States. A 1997 FBI file obtained by Judicial Watch identifies MAS as the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States controlled by Hamas sympathizers “known to conduct firearms and other military type training.” A Justice Department filing (p. 58, fn. 13) in a terrorism-related case states that “MAS was founded as the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in America.” A September 2004 Chicago Tribune investigative report revealed that MAS had been founded by Muslim Brotherhood leaders, adopted the group’s strict code for secrecy, and promoted Islamic supremacy.

ABC’s 1969 docuseries episode “The Girl in the Car” on Tuesday night finally put the focus on the real victim, Ms. Kopechne (despite Cokie Roberts calling Chappaquiddick “yet another huge tragedy for the Kennedy family” in one cringe-worthy line). ABC’s 20/20 Twitter account promoted, “The little-known story of Mary Jo Kopechne, who died after Senator Ted Kennedy abandoned her in a submerged car. The Army Corps of Engineers has cleared about 60 acres of land and began surveying the location around Cape Poge on Martha's Vineyard for munitions and undetonated ordnance over the last three years.

Little Neck — a barren, sandy finger of Chappaquiddick's eastern shore, according to the Vineyard Gazette— was used as a Navy practice bombing site during and after World War II.

But the recovery of a five-foot propeller and a .30 caliber machine gun in the waters off Chappaquiddick led researchers to think they have discovered a Curtiss SB2C Helldiver that crashed in 1946.

A public school instructing teachers to greet Muslims during Ramadan with “Ramadan Mubarak” and adjust test schedules is raising the specter of official district endorsement of Islam, contends a non-profit legal group.

The Freedom of Conscience Legal Defense Fund is warning the Dieringer School District in Lake Tapps, Washington, about its implementation of guidelines issued by the terror-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations.

After CAIR wrote to the school suggesting various changes in policy and practice that would benefit Muslim students, district Supt. Judy Martinson implemented CAIR’s suggestions as official district policy. She distributed the CAIR letter to school principals, who in turn circulated it to all teachers and staff, FCDF said.

“By urging teachers to bless Muslim students in Arabic, the district is running roughshod over the First Amendment’s mandate of government neutrality toward religion,” said Daniel Piedra, FCDF’s executive director. “A school district would never order teachers to ‘welcome’ Catholic students during Easter with ‘He is risen, alleluia!’ Singling out Muslim students for special treatment is blatantly unconstitutional.”

So, here's the question. Let's say I've shoved across from Florida and sailed down to Brazil. Yes, that's a long trip, but I'm going to guess the islands are a bit more sophisticated when its comes to ports. When I show up in Brazil, what's to stop me from pulling into a harbor, getting out of the boat, walking into the town, and buying supplies?

At what point do I need to show my passport, do a customs declaration or in any fashion present myself to authorities as a gringo who needs to be admitted to the country?

Over 2,400 internally displaced (IDP) children have received psychosocial support to cope with war trauma in Tripoli, the latest UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) report released yesterday reveals.

The report also inadvertently provides further independent evidence that the fighting continues on roughly the same frontline as both adversaries fail to impose their military will on the other, while on the political front the Serraj administration admonishes UNSMIL and its head for its poor conflict resolution performance.

The report says that ‘‘armed conflict continued along established frontlines during the past 24 hours’’, but with no reports of ‘‘airstrikes, rocket/shelling attacks or clashes impacting civilians or residential areas’’.

It reported that civilian casualty figures remain unchanged from the previous day with 102 verified civilian casualties, including 23 civilian deaths. These include four health workers killed, with one other doctor injured.

It is always shocking to read how our Nation's greatest leaders are notoriously involved with the misdeeds of major corporations. The conflict of interest of "protecting" our country teamed up with sitting on the board of major corporations, often leads the USA down the wrong path. It comes as no surprize that making big money comes before protecting our citizens.

Today for the first time I read that Donald Rumsfeld was made the CEO of GD Searle in order to get FDA approval for Aspartame (Nutrasweet). It seems that GD Searle had failed for over a decade in getting FDA approval due to the fact that the substance was so toxic. In fact, aspartame was actually on a Pentagon list of biowarfare chemicals submitted to Congress, which just goes to show you how lethal a chemical it really is.

Even scarier, the doctor that was in charge of the lab to study Aspartame, reported that the substance was too toxic and he mysteriously disappeared and all the paper work somehow was destroyed. He was replaced along with the members of the FDA that disapproved of Aspartame's approval… After Aspartame passed FDA, all these new members were rewarded with huge cash sums. A job well done.

This is further proof that our immune system is under attack by our own government. We are worth more to the system when we are sick. The pharmaceutical industry funds every politician in order to make a friend. They are not republican or democrat… they will fund any and all that run for office. They know that people do not like to "bite the hand that feeds". News companies are mostly funded by drug ads, so of course the evening news does not report on drugs and their side effects until it is too late.

How can we trust Rumsfeld to defend our nation if he is part of a team that is knowingly poisoning our people with chemical warfare? How can we know he is not doing this in many other ways? I have a bad feeling things are really wrong in Washington…

I believe that there is a huge effort right now to control population. There is an agenda to attack our immune systems in order to kill off the weak, sick, and elderly. Anyone unable to work and slave their day away will be slotted for destruction. Issues like CODEX allowing German Pharmaceutical companies to control vitamins, herbs, and supplements worldwide is the next step in removing any way for individuals to maintain their own nutritional needs. CODEX also allows more pesticides and molds into our food and animal feed, making mass production easier for the big companies.

German world domination did not die out with the end of World War II. In fact, I hate to admit it, but I believe that the Nazis actually won the war. They just pretended to lose so that we wouldn't notice them take over our government. This way there would be no civil unrest or attempts for upheaval.

Think about it, the Nazis were conducting all their pharmaceutical research on the poor people in their concentration camps. When the Nuremberg Trials broke up the monopolies of that time, they split into what is today the four leading German Pharmaceutical companies.

These companies are set for world domination via controlling FOOD and NUTRITION. The World Trade Organization sets the perfect ground work for these evil doers to get their claws into any country that has agreed to follow WTO regulation. CODEX was signed this 4th of July in Rome to keep US media at a low level. Isn't it ironic that our health freedom was signed away on the 4th of July? Who else but a group of USA-hating thugs would pull such a punch? It seems so obvious, yet no one seems to see it…

Classified Air Force Laser Weapon For Stealth Jets Shoots Down Missiles

The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Self-Protect High Energy Laser Demonstrator (SHiELD) Advanced Technology Demonstration (ATD) Program, has completed a series of tests last month that successfully shot down "several" missiles with a ground-based laser.
