This is what I'm thinking, too. That's why I asked the questions. It just seems like if a US Pres. wanted to truly retake the republic for the purpose of restoration of rule of law, this would be the most effective way, and also ensure you are working with real patriots to accomplish the mission.
I think this is how many Presidentially declared emergencies actually work. They temporarily give the executive extra powers (essentially war-time powers). So Presidents actually do this all the time….it just isn't quite to the same extent as this shit show.
