Pompey vs Julius Caeser. It was the battle for the future of the world. The winner would be the architect of the world for generations to come. Pompey had it all. Money, greater numbers, position, walls, and food. Julius Caeser's forces arrived after losing much of their forces in shipwrecks due to a storm. Pompey's generals told him the best thing to do was to strike and strike now. Finish Ceaser just at the moment of his arrival.
Pompey and his forces were entrenched with no danger to their supply lines. Julius Caser had no supply lines.
Pompey gave into his general's desires. Pompey lost. Even though he had it all he lost.
Patience wins wars. Winners of wars shape the future.
